Safe Breath

FFP2 reusable medical mask

Safe Breath is the result of a collaboration between Terenzi S.r.l and Design Group Italia, created in response to the needs of the Covid period. During the pandemic, the world witnessed a rapid spread of the virus and a growing demand for protective devices. In this context, Terenzi S.r.l and Design Group Italia decided to offer their experience to develop an innovative and ergonomic product capable of providing maximum protection to users.

In the project, I had the role of project manager and supervised the entire product industrialization process, from defining the assembly stages to drafting the technical documentation. In addition, I supervised the ergonomic study and sterilization of the filters, ensuring the highest quality and safety of the product.

The lockdown period was a very difficult time for all of us. However, it also provided an opportunity to focus on developing innovative products and responding to market needs quickly and efficiently. In the period between May and July 2020, Terenzi S.r.l and Design Group Italy worked tirelessly to develop Safe Breath, facing technological challenges and logistical difficulties related to the pandemic.

The result was a high-performance, comfortable-to-wear product with a modern and unique design. Safe Breath was developed with the utmost attention to quality and safety, thanks to the passion and commitment of the teams at Terenzi S.r.l and Design Group Italia.

the ergonomic study of shapes performed with samples made by 3d printing FDM, SLM and other rapid prototyping technologies The study involved an analysis of anthropometric measurements of the European population. The design focused on how the shape and size of the mask mouthpiece was effective in ensuring comfort and fit on the face.
